Usually, the State will require you to collect tax on any durable good, such as, appliances, sporting goods equipment, memorabilia, books and art.  Services are typically exempt for taxation.  Auction Care makes tax handling very easy!  You enter your state tax rate once and then as you enter each auction item, you simiply check a box if that item needs to be taxed.  All downstream reports will reflect the tax libability.
